Skills / Packaging design

Packaging design for food and drink brands.

Packaging is the one piece of a food brand that every customer touches. Prowlup designs it to be picked off the shelf and printed without surprises, for food, beverage and FMCG brands in France, the UK, the USA and the Gulf.

What we design

Bottles, jars, cartons, labels and folding boxes. Front of pack, back of pack and every panel in between. Each project covers the concept, typography, illustration, 3D mockups to judge the pack before it is printed, and print-ready files for your printer. Two to three rounds of revisions are built into the process.

Built for the shelf

Shoppers give a pack a few seconds, from a few metres away. We start by reading the category: which codes every brand shares, and where the white space is. In our Panzani concept, a first illustrated route was dropped because the aisle was already full of it; the final system gives every pasta shape its own geometric icon, readable from the end of the aisle.

Range systems

Most brands launch one product and add five more. We design packaging as a system from day one: what stays fixed, what changes per flavour or format, and how a shopper finds their variant. In Golden Mountain, the label never moves and the liquid colour codes the flavour. For Wei Ming, more than fifteen products share one way of showing the pack, so the range reads as one brand.

Categories we know

Juices and soft drinks, sauces and condiments, dry goods such as pasta, and other food and FMCG products. Prowlup was founded by a designer who learned packaging inside a food production and import business, so dielines and labelling constraints are part of the brief from the first call.

Bilingual and export packaging

Brands sold in several markets need one design that holds in several languages. We plan hierarchy and space for every language from the first layout, including Arabic and English for the Gulf. Translation and copy are supplied by you or a qualified translator; we set them into the design.

What is not included

Printing, photography, legal validation, copywriting, translation and manufacturing. We work alongside the partners you choose and hand over files ready for them.
