Insights & Futures
We start in the aisle. Shelf audits and competitor packs show which codes every brand shares and where there is room to look different. Every later decision can be traced back to what we saw there.
We cover the whole journey of a food or drink brand, from the first visit to the aisle to the files that go to the printer.

Insights
We start in the aisle. Shelf audits and competitor packs show which codes every brand shares and where there is room to look different. Every later decision can be traced back to what we saw there.

Product
Most brands launch one product and add more later. We plan how the range is organised by flavour and format, so new references fit in without a redesign.
Packaging design
Brand
Positioning and naming come first. We write down what the brand stands for on a single page that any future designer or agency can work from.
Brand identity
Expression
Logo, type, colour and pack structure. This is where the strategy becomes something you can hold, and we check it at shelf distance before anything is final.
Food label designActivation
For launch we adapt the identity to e-commerce listings and social templates, plus shelf material when the retailer allows it.

Bottles, jars, cartons and labels, designed to be chosen on shelf and printed without surprises.

Front and back of pack with allergens, minimum type sizes, Triman and Nutri-Score built in.

Strategy, naming, logo, type and colour for food and drink brands, designed to live on pack.
Prowlup is an independent branding and packaging studio for food, beverage and FMCG brands. It covers brand strategy, brand identity, packaging design, range systems and launch assets for retail, e-commerce and social. One studio runs the project from the first insight to print-ready files, so the idea that is approved is the one that reaches the shelf.
Yes. Prowlup works with food, beverage and FMCG brands only. Its founder learned packaging inside a food production and import business, working with retailers, printers and labelling rules. Staying in one sector means knowing how a product is made, sold and regulated, and designing with that in mind from the first sketch.
A packaging project covers the concept, front and back of pack, typography, illustration, 3D mockups and print-ready files, with two to three rounds of revisions. Range systems extend one design across flavours or formats. Printing, photography, legal validation, copywriting, translation and manufacturing are not included; we work with the partners you choose for those.
We design with labelling rules built into the layout: allergen emphasis, minimum type sizes, recycling marks such as Triman and the Nutri-Score are planned from day one rather than added at the end. Legal validation is not part of our service: the final regulatory check stays with your quality team or a specialist.
Prowlup works with brands selling in France, the UK, the USA and the Gulf. The studio is French and works remotely, in English and in French. Our French labelling checklist is in use today; versions for the UK, the USA and the UAE are in preparation.
Yes. Bilingual layout is part of packaging design: hierarchy, type pairing and space for both scripts are planned from the start, from the first layout. Arabic copy and translation are not included; they are supplied by you or a qualified translator, and we set them into the design.
With a discovery call, then a brief and a proposal. A detailed client brief collects every technical and regulatory input upfront: formats, dielines, mandatory mentions, markets. Then come strategy, creative direction, design and revisions, before print-ready delivery.
Wei Ming is a client project: product visuals and print-ready labels for an Asian food brand sold in France. Barakat, Ocean Spray, Golden Mountain and Panzani are self-initiated concepts by Prowlup and are not affiliated with these brands. They show how the studio thinks.
